Salary package and benefits;

  • Package: Basic starting salary up to £28,000 (dependent on experience)
  • Benefits: Up to 35 days holidays, flexible working shifts, work from home one day p/w after probation (2 days p/w when promoted to Compliance Team Leader/Manager) 6 hour shifts outside term time, Laptop, free breakfast and a 1/2 day out with the entire company at the end of each half term

Horizon Teachers places teaching staff across all sectors of Education within London and the Home Counties. This opportunity is to work specifically within the Vetting and Compliance Team as an integral part of the business.

You will be tasked with ensuring that all the Horizon Teachers teaching and support staff are thoroughly vetted and fully compliant in line with government requirements, in order that we can place them into mix of daily, long-term and permanent roles within London schools.

You will join a team culture that is fun, collaborative, forward-thinking and commercially savvy, based in a unique, bright, vibrant open space office in the heart of the City.

The Vetting and Compliance Administrator role will involve:

  • Ensuring worker suitability including eligibility to work, identification, experience, skills and criminal record checks (both DBS and Overseas where necessary)
  • Inputting applicants' details onto in house systems, processing applicants' file including sending and chasing reference checks and DBS checks. Ensuring applicants' files meet all mandatory checks
  • Regular monitoring of agency workers' visas and other documentation to ensure they are in date to ensure compliance and continued suitability
  • Administrative support, maintenance and management of information
  • Delivering relevant training to candidates
  • Assisting with general telephone enquiries from candidates
  • Assisting schools with any specific compliance/safeguarding requests

You'll ideally have these skills or experience:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Target-driven and experienced in working towards tight deadlines and within short timescales.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team and build relationships at all levels.
  • Strong work ethic with a flexible approach.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • IT literate (Keyboard skills, Microsoft Office applications, etc.)
