Job Title: Handyman
Location: Edinburgh
Salary: £14.00 - £15.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance experienced Handyman to cover a large site in Edinburgh.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and both planned and reactive maintenance within your skillset.
- Manage subcontractors in line with company policies.
- Liaise with suppliers to optimize costs while ensuring good value.
- Assist skilled tradespeople with maintenance, repairs, testing, inspection, and installation tasks.
- Conduct minor repairs to building fabric to ensure safety and security for clients, staff, and visitors.
- Safely respond to adverse weather conditions, including snow clearing, gritting, flooding, and high winds.
- Participate in training to meet service requirements and enhance skills.
- Carry out duties at various sites within your portfolio.
- Ensure adherence to Health and Safety policies across all sites.
- Maintain positive relationships with clients.
- Address maintenance issues promptly to minimize penalty deductions per project agreements.
- Keep all servicing records updated and compliant with statutory guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Relevant experience in maintenance or handyman roles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations.
