Job Title: Warehouse Operative
Reporting to: Operational Management
Our client is currently seeking a talented Warehouse Operative to join their team. As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient handling of lighting, rigging, and other supporting rental assets. You will ensure the highest standards of inventory control and service delivery. Additionally, you will provide support to Equipment Technicians by assisting with equipment cleaning and preparation. Key Responsibilities:
Accurately and efficiently move goods between different locations around the operation.
Load and unload vehicles while adhering to relevant procedures and risk assessments.
Scan and record rental assets through the various stages of distribution on the RTPro system.
Recognise and count non-coded equipment and enter accurate information into the system.
Identify sub-hire equipment, tag sub-hires, and place them in the designated areas.
Keep work areas clean and tidy.
Check returned goods for damaged or missing items and report any issues.
Use and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) and manual handling equipment correctly.
Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment as part of the team.
Immediately escalate any stock anomalies or inaccuracies to the Department Supervisor or Equipment Manager.
Ensure all equipment pulled for despatch is routed correctly as per instructions.
Collaborate with department supervisors, equipment managers, and inventory teams to maintain correct stock levels.
Liaise with other operational staff and management as needed to meet business needs.
Asset Management, Storage & Quality Control:
Handle all equipment safely and efficiently.
Prepare and test equipment in line with company procedures, policies, and legislation.
Escalate any inventory or asset control concerns to the Department Supervisor.
Strive to achieve and maintain the highest standards of equipment quality and service delivery.
Complete QC checks and scanning controls in accordance with company procedures.
Health & Safety:
Demonstrate a commitment to a culture of safety at all times.
Follow all health and safety policies, including manual handling and safe storage of equipment.
Maintain clear pedestrian and evacuation routes throughout the warehouse and external areas.
Report any areas of concern through the appropriate channels.
Essential Skills:
A drive to achieve and maintain the highest quality and service standards.
IT literate with the ability to learn in-house asset management systems.
A positive approach to the company, even when faced with high demands.
Excellent communication skills.
Adaptability and willingness to learn.
Flexibility to work overtime and occasional weekends as required by the business.
