Business Analyst

We are looking to speak with Business Analysts to join a consultancy based in London. This is a 6 month contract role working on a hybrid basis, with approximately two days in the office . The consultancy provide key business management services to the London and Frankfurt Market Insurance Industry.

The Business Analyst is expected to be comfortable in a business client-facing role; Business Analysts are subject matter experts that build the bridge between the business and the clients, immersing themselves into the market to understand problems and find innovative solutions.

As a Business Analyst you will be involved in the full software lifecycle and have the central role of liaising with people and teams as you deliver on a system implementation project:

  • Capturing, analysing and documenting clear business requirements
  • Document requirements and write specifications;
  • Document current business processes and use cases and verifying with the client
  • Develop and innovate current processes to meet future operational scenarios;
  • Present specifications to software development team;
  • Oversee the development of functionality from a client perspective;
  • Test and oversee the testing of functionality of software against the original requirements and specifications;
  • Assist clients with business improvements;
  • Train clients and staff in system functionality; and undertake presentations and demonstrations of software.
  • Build relationships with assigned clients at all levels;
  • Be the primary point of contact for those clients that have been assigned to you
  • Fully understand and communicate any issues or challenges that assigned clients are having with software and service provision

Requirements

  • 5+ years business analyst experience.
  • Consulting experience ideally supporting Insurance and/or financial services clients.
  • Excellent client relationship skills with record of developing strong partnerships
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Skilled at identifying problems and finding effective solutions.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret data and processes, analyse results, and provide insights.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with data analysis tools and software, such as SQL, Excel, and BI tools
  • Documentation Skills: Capable of creating clear and concise documentation for processes, requirements, and reports.

Benefits

£50-60k.

Initial 6 month contract with the expectation to become permanent.

Offices are based in London but this can be hybrid position with approximately two days in the office .
