Blue Arrow are recruiting for a Stores Assistant for our client based in Edinburgh. This is an ongoing temporary role initially that will see you provide an effective and efficient service within the Stores Dept of our clients site on the west side of Edinburgh. You will be required to pass a disclosure check in order to take up the role.
Main duties:
- Deliver an effective and efficient canteen service
- Contribute towards an effective stock management system
- Deliver canteen items to prisoner accommodation areas
- Process canteen sheets through the records system
- Collect and check all prisoner canteen sheets
- Collect sundry sheets and deliver prisoner sundry items to prisoners accommodation areas
- Assist with incoming deliveries, which may require the post holder to lift heavy stock items and deliver canteen stock items within the establishment on a daily basis
- Collect newspaper/magazines and deliver to the prisoner accommodation areas
- Reconcile canteen sheets through the computerised till
- Work under the direction of the Canteen Administrator
- Conduct weekly/monthly stock checks, and maintain stock levels and reorder stock on a weekly basis
- Process canteen invoices for payment
- Process all prisoner canteen and sundry request to set deadlines
- Communicate with other internal departments and other external companies
