Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant

Reed are seeking a Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant to efficiently manage the accounts for a dynamic, friendly, and diverse business. This role involves handling financial reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial activities.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Input all invoices, petty cash, credit cards, and staff expenses into Sage 50 accurately.
  • Process payments and raise invoices.
  • Raise sales invoices to clients and keep all ledgers, accounts, and filing systems up to date.
  • Address general finance queries from staff or external shareholders.
  • Identify and mitigate any potential financial losses.
  • Assist the Financial Controller with various tasks as needed.
  • Help prepare monthly board papers and monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Assist in maintaining Excel reporting sheets.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Bookkeeper.
  • Proficiency in Sage 50 Accounts.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently to meet tight deadlines.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
