Financial Controller - 12 Months FTC | Innovative Architectural Design Studio | London
Harmonic are delighted to be working with an award-winning architecture practice in their search for a 12 Month FTC Financial Controller to work alongside the senior members of the finance team to improve efficiency and grow the business further. Here, finance is seen as an essential part of the smooth running of the business and genuinely has an impact in decision making.
Completing projects across the globe, the business is being extremely well-known in the industry due to their innovative and unique designs. The ideal candidate for this role would have strong technical accounting skills, yet still be very commercially astute in order to work strategically with the senior leadership team in business planning. The responsibilities include a mix of statutory accounts, management accounts, project profitability analysis as well as implementing new systems company-wide.

Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for the finance and accounting function
- Lead production of year-end statutory accounts and liaise with auditors
- Oversee financial policies and procedures
- Implementation, integration and constant improvement of internal systems
- Oversee cash flow and provide analysis to the Head of Finance
- Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations for accuracy
- Work with tax advisers on corporation tax computations and planning
- Project accounting duties including supervising project profitability and ensuring that the business is meeting timescales and sticking to budgets
- Working alongside the CFO on annual audits
- Manage a team of 2 junior finance team members
- Supporting the administration and operations teams on day-to-day finance duties when required
What we need to see (requirements):
- At least 2-3 years working in a service business (architecture, construction, marketing, media, consultancy etc)
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
- Good technical accounting skills
- Strong communication skills
- Experience working with international entities
- Genuine interest in architecture and property
What we'd like to see (preferred):
- Sage experience
- ACA qualification
- Available within 1 month
Salary: £65,000 - £75,000
Start date: ASAP
