Position: Geography Teacher
Location: Coventry
Contract Type: Full-time
Start Date: ASAP or Janaury 2025 start
We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Geography Teacher who is passionate about teaching and can engage students with interactive and creative lessons. The successful candidate will teach Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5), developing students' understanding of physical, human, and environmental geography.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
- Inspire students with a love for Geography and global awareness.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
- Develop innovative and engaging resources to enhance the learning experience.
- Contribute to the development of the Geography curriculum.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies and improve student outcomes.
Requirements:
- A degree in Geography or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching Geography at secondary school level.
- A passion for Geography and the ability to inspire students.
- Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.
Desirable:
- Experience teaching Geography at A-Level.
- Knowledge of current curriculum developments and best practices in Geography teaching.
