**Basic Salary £47,500 + OTE CIRCA £65,000
**As an HGV Mechanic, in Chertsey you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of my clients fleet of commercial vehicles and trailers. You will be responsible for vehicle inspections, maintenance, repairs, and MOT preparation, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards.
**Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct vehicle inspections to DVSA and FTA standards.
- Diagnose, repair, and service commercial vehicles and trailers.
- Prepare vehicles for MOT tests.
- Perform vehicle servicing according to manufacturer specifications.
- Complete all relevant paperwork to ensure compliance.
- Utilise diagnostic equipment effectively.
**Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a "Time Served" HGV Mechanic
- hold a City & Guilds 2 or 3 Certificate
- Equivalent with experience and technical expertise in HGV and trailer servicing and repairs.
- IT literate.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of computers and fleet diagnostics.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads.
- Initiative to work autonomously.
- If you hold a HGV license (Class 1) or IRTEC licnece this is a bonus!
