Position: Groundworker
Location: Isle of Grain, Kent
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Overview:

A well-established construction company is seeking a skilled and reliable Groundworker to join their team on the Isle of Grain. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the successful execution of various construction projects. The ideal candidate will hold a valid CSCS card and, preferably, a Dumper Ticket.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a range of groundworks including excavation, trenching, concreting, and site preparation.
  • Assist with the installation of drainage systems, utilities, and other infrastructure components.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Follow site safety protocols and ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members and site supervisors to meet project deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Requirements:

  • Valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.
  • Proven experience in groundworks and general construction labour.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety practices.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labour tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid Dumper Ticket.
  • Additional construction-related certifications or training.
