Catch 22 are currently searching for a Caretaker/Maintenance Assistant to work on the behalf of our client, a grade listed building based in Fulham (SW6)
Working Hours
Monday-Friday 0730am - 1530pm (Flexibility for a later start)
Some weekend work needed.
Salary between £30k-£34k per annum (pro rata)
Core Duties
- First point of contact for all maintenance, buildings and wider estate queries
- Daily checks to ensure fire-fighting equipment, alarms, roof voids, water system, pumps, heating and fire exit in good condition
- Undertake all aspects of building maintenance cleaning, repair and improvement (Basic plumbing, carpentry tasks, glazing, roofs)
- Maintain and renew signs, fences, gates, steps, working with garden team as necessary
- Complete logbooks, records and work sheets as required and report major faults to the EFM
- Maintain all tools and equipment, check equipment inventories and undertake stock-takes as required.
- Operating CCTV ensuring safety of the building (training staff on CCTV and Fire alarm system)
- Key holder to fire alarm and security system (be on-call to attend emergencies, may be out of normal working hours)
Essential
- Basic Trade qualifications (level 2 or 3)
- IOSH Managing safely
- Experience in property maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, general facilities management painting/decorating
- Strong communication skills
