The role
Our client is hiring a full-time Finance assistant to be respoonsible for Accounts Payable and recievables at their Dagenham office. This role manages day-to-day accounting tasks from purchase ledgers, payment processing, cash flow updates, sales administration, and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up supplier accounts and banking portals in ERP system
- Handle all purchase ledger activities
- Process/analyse duty, shipping, warehouse charges, and claims
- Reconcile credit cards
- Generate occasional sales invoices
- Reconcile automated sales receipt payment files
- Review and process employee expense claims
- Update cash flow plans and post bank transactions
- Request and reconcile supplier statements
- Generate aged payables reports with notes
- Add fixed assets and prepaid deferral schedules
- Track facilities expenses like utilities and cleaning
- Manage customs, deferment accounts, office supplies
- Assist with purchasing and stock control as needed
- Other administrative analysis and ad hoc duties
Job Requirements
- Previous experience working in transactional finance role
- Expertise with accounting software like ERP systems
- Excellent numeracy and analytical skills
- High attention to detail and organisational abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Effective communication and time management skills
- Ability to prioritise and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
