We are looking for a driven and commercial Solicitor to join our friendly in-house legal team of 4.
Working closely with our internal clients and stakeholders, you will be involved in drafting and negotiating key client and supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual policies and procedures for Elior UK and its subsidiary companies.
Elior UK has an impressive portfolio of clients and suppliers in different sectors. This is a varied role, supervised by two experienced lawyers with lots of opportunity for learning and growth.
What you'll be doing...
This is a unique opportunity to work in a challenging but rewarding role. With processes and procedures fully embedded in the business, including a suite of precedent contracts, and a playbook, you will work closely with senior managers and directors on a variety of commercial and legal work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborating with senior managers and directors on commercial and legal matters in a fast-paced environment.
- Acting as the main legal contact for the purchasing team and support functions (HR, Finance, IT, Sales, etc.).
- Ensuring contracts are legally sound, aligned with company policies, and in place before the supply of goods/services.
- Leading or assisting in contract negotiations and re-negotiations with clients, involving relevant support functions.
- Supporting the development and delivery of training within the Legal team and the wider business.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday - hybrid working
What can you bring?
The experience and knowledge we are looking for:
- 3/4 + years PQE
- Experience in a well-known/national law firm or established in-house legal team preferred
- Experience of dealing with commercial contracts
Proven drafting and negotiation skills, particularly around commercial matters
- Committed, driven, able to work autonomously (where appropriate) as well as working closely as part of a collaborative team and with some initiative

- A self-starter, confident and competent to work alone, but also not afraid to seek support where appropriate
- A clear, concise and thoughtful drafting style, with the ability to create clear and unambiguous clauses from precedent or (with support) from scratch
- A friendly and approachable character, able to fit into a small team
- The ability to understand, interpret, and apply commercial principles in the provision of legal services, particularly in respect of financial modelling and risk evaluation.
