Autism Assistant needed in a Primary school in Barking and Dagenham (TERM TIME ONLY)

- FULL TIME - Monday to Friday (8:30am - 3:30pm)
Engage Education is working with a Primary School who are looking for a caring Autism Assistant to work with a pupil with Autism on 1-2-1 basis.
They would love to hear from recent graduates who are thinking about a career in teaching/ special education or those with previous experience working or volunteering with primary aged children with Autism.
You will need to be available for a trial day/ interview within the first 2 weeks of September.
What is required for this role:
- Previous experience working or volunteering with children with Autism
- Experience using either Makaton or PECS (desirable)
- Child only DBS registered on the online update service (willingness to obtain one if you do not currently hold)
- Ability to work full time Monday to Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm
- Confidence when dealing with challenging behaviour
