Mploy Staffing Solutions Ltd is looking to source a permanent Business Development Executive for a valued client in Portland, Dorset.
Why should you be interested? Our client is offering:
- an annual salary of £25,000 to £35,000 (£12.82 p/h to £17.95 p/h), dependant on experience & salary expectations.
- 31 days of annual leave per year, including Bank Holidays (23+8).
- a highly unique commission scheme that develops as you develop in the company. Expect to receive £50 per appointment set with £100 per appointment converted. As you develop within the business into a Salesperson expect to activate a gross margin bonus for a converted sale. Per deal expect a 20%-year 1 margin payout, 15%-year 2 payout with a 10% lifetime payout. Our client's accounts can generate between 6 to 7 figures across their lifetimes so converting a sale could be highly lucrative.

- a flexible contract with flexitime. Our client can offer a full-time contract (37.5 hours per week) down to a part time contract in line with your needs. Expect hours of work from 09:00 to 17:30 daily with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break. Our client is open to reducing the lunch break, in line with your needs, and is open to discussing modified hours.

Initially our client is looking for a candidate to help them identify qualified sales opportunities for a highly innovative & new ecommerce offering. Although our client is an established postal services wholesaler, they're looking for a Business Discovery Executive to bring a highly innovative and unique ecommerce offering to market. Experience working in an appointment setting or service sales environment is highly desirable to our client.
- wants to learn & develop themselves into an industry expert. Our client's ecommerce offering is brand new and seeks to leverage cost savings using innovative postal authority/courier selection, clever road freight logistics and greater customs integration to pass on significant savings to clients. You'll learn this unique and somewhat complex product with a view to convince senior decision makers as to its value.
- is a researcher. Expect to research & identify target businesses including 3PLs, Printers, Freight Forwarders, Courier Companies, Postal Authorities & large businesses alongside relevant key decision makers.
- is an articulate communicator and an active listener. Daily you'll question decision makers to understand their ecommerce & postal needs, show our client's capabilities, manage potential objections & ask for a meeting for our client's Salesperson to attend/close.
- is a people person that can build & grow positive/efficient relationships with clients.
- is highly organised, hardworking and can work to deadline.
- is system savvy and computer literate. Expect to use the MS Office Package (Word, Outlook & Excel primarily) & LinkedIn frequently alongside Zint (Sales Lead software) and our client's proprietary shipping software platform.
- can multitask & prioritise their workload.
- has a UK driving licence & own vehicle.
