Description
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Maintenance of VAT records and accounts
- Liaising with HMRC on VAT related matters
- Providing VAT advice to internal departments
- Assisting with VAT audits
- Keeping abreast of changes in VAT legislation and regulations
- Contributing to the development of VAT strategies and policies
- Assisting in the training of staff on VAT matters
Profile
A successful VAT Accountant should have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Working towards a professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent
- Proficiency in VAT accounting
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of VAT legislation and regulations
