Job Title: Senior Initial Airworthiness Engineer - Delivery
Location, ideally based in Prestwick but could be located at alternative sites in the North West

Join our Clients Initial Airworthiness Delivery Team and contribute to the safety and certification of cutting-edge aircraft. As a Senior Engineer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring airworthiness for Development and Production programs. Your responsibilities include independent assurance activities, flight certification, and addressing emergent safety issues.

Key Requirements:

  • Conduct independent airworthiness assurance activities, certifying design evidence.
  • Collaborate with teams to establish flight limitations.
  • Produce Flight Certification (Military Permit to Fly) for Development and Production Aircraft.
  • Ensure Flight Certification (Release to Service) for Export Customers.
  • Address emergent safety issues through Flight Safety Procedures.
  • Support company Systems' continuous development efforts.
  • Represent Airworthiness in project meetings.
  • Uphold product integrity through rigorous reviews.
  • Leverage analytical methods for aircraft-level flight limitations.
  • Understand authorities and the different types too - understanding of regulations for civil or military
  • Initial airworthiness rather than continuous
  • Release to service experience
  • Flight safety procedures
  • Integration experience on systems
  • Reviewing designs needing certification

Required Skills:

  • HND/HNC/Degree in STEM or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of Aircraft Avionic and Mechanical systems.
  • Aircraft Avionic and Mechanical systems design and Aerodynamic disciplines understanding
  • Design certification (qualification and safety) and Airworthiness processes

Normal working days, not shifts: 37hrs p/w + overtime (O/T rate apply)
Hybrid working pattern of min 3 days on site per week, project and workload dependent
