Hawk 3 Talent Solutions is working on behalf of their client and looking for a Product Owner (SaaS) (REMOTE) with the client's head office based near Bristol. You can be based anywhere in the UK as the role is fully remote.

An exciting opportunity to shape the future of our client's flagship product and make a significant impact on the company's growth. You will join a very collaborative and innovative work environment, with the chance to move into a Product Manager role as the company grows and there is a requirement to expand the product team over the coming years.

The role will collaborate with our customer facing teams such as Customer Success, Implementation, Support as well as Sales and Marketing to deliver the product strategy, roadmap and prioritise what our software engineering team work on. A holistic view of the entire product lifecycle, the customer journey is critical to the success of this role. They will also be responsible for maximising the value of the product, creating user stories for the engineering team, and communicating the voice of the customer in our agile development process.

The annual salary is £45,000 - £60,000 PA DOE.The working hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a comprehensive product roadmap that balances short-term and long-term goals focused on company strategic goals, customer enhancement requests, competitive advantage and known bugs.
  • Organize cross-functional teams to help build user stories and functional specs for items in the product roadmap to ensure that feature specifications meet the demands of the business and customer.
  • Work alongside product experts across the business, particularly the executive team, to ensure that specifications are aligned with long-term strategy and that user stories are ready well in advance of development.
  • Prioritize the engineering team's workload making sure that engineers time is fully utilized during sprints.
  • Monitoring and tracking Sprint Success for assessment of productivity and quality of each sprint
  • Develop and implement UI/UX strategies that align with the product's goals and user needs, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable user journey.
  • Manage the UI/UX design system ensuring that all UIX enhancements follow UIX standards.
  • Work closely with UI/UX team to create wireframes, prototypes, and mock-ups that reflect user-centric design principles.
  • Manage the entire development lifecycle, from conception to release and beyond.
  • Prioritize and groom backlog of bug fixes and enhancement requests, working closely with support and customer success to ensure that critical work is prioritized.
  • Work closely with development teams during sprint to make sure work items stay on track and completed in time, ensuring that the work that is being done meets the functional specifications.
  • Work alongside QA and conduct user acceptance testing.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner in a B2B SaaS environment
  • Experience in IT Service Management (ITSM) or Customer Service Management is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, growing business.
  • Passion and vision to build and expand the product team over the coming years.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in creating detailed user stories for software engineering teams. Ideally, experience with Figma or other prototyping products.
  • Strong organizational skills, leveraging tools like Product Board to capture and manage the product roadmap.
  • Ability to analyse user data and feedback to inform decisions and improve overall user experience.
  • Understanding of user-centred design principles and methodologies, including user research, personas, user flows, and usability testing.
  • Basic understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Web components) to effectively communicate with development teams and understand technical constraints.
  • A passion for understanding user needs and translating them into compelling product features that enhance the user experience.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organisational skills and attention to timelines and deliverables.
