Location: Central Leeds

Position: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: £28,000 per annum

Are you an experienced and passionate early years professional looking for a leadership role within a dynamic nursery setting? Our large nursery is seeking a dedicated Early Years Area Supervisor to oversee the operations of two rooms, working closely alongside the Nursery Manager and management team to ensure the highest standards of care and education.

About the Role: As the Early Years Area Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and smooth running of two designated rooms within our nursery. You will play a key role in leading and supporting a team of practitioners, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning and implementation of educational activities that promote the development and learning of children.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the rooms under your supervision.
  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of early years practitioners, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
  • Work closely with the Nursery Manager and management team to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, and communicate effectively with parents and guardians.

Requirements:

  • A Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in an early years setting, with a strong understanding of child development and early education practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a management team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
