Audit Manager - Top 30

We are working with one of the most forward-thinking accountancy practices in the country, and they're looking to add an Audit Manager to their team due to growth. As an Audit Manager, you'll work with a diverse client base, ranging from owner-managed businesses to SMEs and larger multinationals. The firm has adopted progressive policies, making it a great place to work. Some of these policies resemble those of a growing tech company rather than a traditional accountancy firm. For example:

  • Flexible Work Arrangements: Work where and when you want. You can choose to work locally (if there's an office near you) or in Central London.
  • Modern Office Environment: The vibrant office offers different workspaces to suit your preferences.
  • No Dress Code: Embrace a relaxed dress environment.
  • Career Growth: Excellent opportunities for career advancement.
  • Highly Flexible Working: Work from anywhere, anytime.
  • Team Building: Enjoy team days and company social events.
  • Wellbeing Benefits: A choice of benefits to support your wellbeing.

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Audit Assignments:
  • Oversee various audit assignments, including reviewing financial statements, internal controls, and compliance with regulations.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement.

  1. Coaching and Training:
  • Guide and mentor junior team members to enhance their skills.

  • Effective coaching contributes to a strong team.

  1. Client Capital, Billing, and Debtors:
  • Understand clients' financial structures and investment decisions.

  • Handle billing and manage debtors (clients who owe money).

  1. File Reviews:
  • Regularly review audit files to maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance.
  1. Offsite Work:
  • Occasionally work outside the office, such as visiting client sites or conducting fieldwork.

Requirements:

  • ACA, ACCA qualified, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable experience managing a portfolio of clients.
  • Experience in team management, including coaching juniors.
