Your new role
As the Trading Operation Manager role, you will provide senior level leadership and support across the team and will be responsible for motivating and leading a team of circa. 12 people and co-ordinating the work of assigned staff based on the direction of the head of function. You will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day trading operation processing activities in line with agreed procedures and timelines.
- Coordinate the work of assigned staff based on the direction of the Head of Market Operations.
- Plan and allocate team resources to meet priorities and manage issues, coach staff in issue resolution and act as an escalation point.
- Support the Head of Market Operations in designing and implementing appropriate KPIs and operational targets for the team, including the escalation of risks and issues.
- Lead ongoing process improvement and training activity.
- Contribute to the strategic development of the Trading Operations team and the Operations and Asset Management Directorate.
- Coordinate the management of audits.
- Any other reasonable duties and when required.
What you'll need to succeed
- 6+ years of relevant experience with excellent analysis, judgement and problem-solving skills, along with an ability to make decisions promptly and effectively.
- Developed people skills with experience of coordinating the work of others.
- Experience of designing and implementing business process improvements.
- Effective communicator, both verbal and written communications, and comfortable in presenting to large groups.
- Third level qualification or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
