IT Project Manager

We are seeking an IT Project Manager with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring projects not only meet completion standards but also align with strategic business objectives. If you are adept in managing diverse IT technology projects including infrastructure, networking, hardware, software, regulatory, and cybersecurity, within a demanding environment, we want you on our team.

Location: Bristol (with required travel to customer sites)
Job Type: Full-time, Hybrid
Salary: £43,985 - £54,083

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage the entire project lifecycle from initial planning and resource allocation to build, test, delivery, and post-implementation support.
  • Collaborate closely with project sponsors, senior IT managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and effective project execution.
  • Engage significantly with external customers to understand their requirements and with suppliers to ensure they meet project timelines and standards.
  • Navigate complex security requirements and maintain the highest levels of data integrity, especially when handling sensitive information.

**Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable experience in managing a variety of IT projects.
  • Recognised Project Management qualifications (e.g., APM, PRINCE2, Agile APM) with practical application.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with a track record in customer engagement and supplier management.
  • Experience in a matrix organisation and familiarity with ITIL practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritise effectively, and manage competing deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
  • Necessary security clearances, or the ability to undergo these processes.
