I am recruiting a Bookkeeping and VAT Manager for an independent 3 partner accountancy practice based in North London. With a workforce of c.30 employees, this a key role overseeing the bookkeeping department, and you will be joining a friendly firm with true work-life balance.

What will this Bookkeeping and VAT Manager entail?
- Responsible for managing a client portfolio, consisting of both sole trade and incorporated entities consisting of a wide range of industries including property, construction, hospitality
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Bookkeeping on various software programs but predominantly Xero
- Reviewing work of junior team members and outsourcing staff
- Ensuring trial balances are complete in preparation for handing over to accounts department
The ideal Bookkeeping and VAT Manager will:
- 8-10 years UK accountancy practice experience
- Conversant in bookkeeping software: Xero/Sage/QuickBooks
- Experience within VAT, dealing with HMRC, knowledge of VAT schemes
First stage interviews are taking place of zoom first stage, with second stage interviews happening face to face in the offices.
