Join a well-established builder's merchant as a Buyer for purchasing and category management.
THE BUYERS ROLE:
This is a newly created role reporting to the operations manager. This varied role involves:
- Developing new and existing relationships with manufacturers and suppliers of construction materials
- Agreeing prices, margins, rebates and purchase orders
- Monitoring and maintaining stock levels
- Develop a dropship offer
- Undertake range reviews to increase profitability
- Develop a price book, ensuring it is kept updated
- Implement rebate forecasting and manage rebate agreements.
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Experience as a buyer, ideally in the building or construction materials sector
- CIPS qualification an advantage
- Comfortable working in a casual but motivated small team environment
- An independent self-starter who is hands-on and happy making data-driven decisions.
SALARY & BENEFITS YOU'LL RECEIVE AS BUYER:
- £32,000 - £35,000 pro-rata
- 23 days holiday + public holidays
