Head of FP&A | North Manchester (2 days in office) | £70,000 - £80,000 + bonus | PE backed
Axon Moore are working exclusively with a PE backed business who are looking to add a commercially astute Head of FP&A to their team.
Due to internal promotion, we are looking for someone to head up the FP&A function, inheriting a team of 2 direct reports which is likely to grow to 5 as the business continues to grow both through organic and acquisitional growth.
Responsibilities include:
- Business partnering with the wider teams to understand business performance and how this translates into the P&L, cash flow and balance sheet
- Acting as a conduit between finance and operational teams to help drive profitable growth
- Provide the Board with relevant and timely information to assess performance against the Group's strategy and objectives.
- Reviewing of commercial arrangements and business cases helping to inform decision making
- Lead the annual budgeting process
- Track performance against key targets and outcomes and produce regular corporate level management information to all senior management and the Board
- Lead the FP&A team, including staff recruitment, staff development, performance management and task management.
- Preparation of board materials including overseeing the preparation of monthly board packs
- Regular reporting of market performance, looking at competitors, new business ventures
- Working with the FP&A Director and other senior leaders, develop and maintain relationships with banks, PE house etc
Ideal candidate:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- An ability to present financial information to colleagues in a clear, concise and confident manner
- Proven experience in finance business partnering, fostering collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven experience leading a small team
