Management Accountant

My client is looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join their growing finance team.

Due to some exciting changes within the company, a new full-time role has become available within the group. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a small but excellent finance team in a role you can really make your own. The ideal candidate will be excited by the prospect of working for an extremely ambitious but friendly company with a fantastic senior leadership team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To be the main person responsible for overseeing the day to day of the online sales arm. Including:

o Daily transactional postings,

o Producing monthly management accounts in a timely manner, including full Balance Sheet reconciliations,

o Preparing and monitoring accurate and continuous cashflow forecasts for the purpose of strategic management decisions,

o Reconciliations of multiple bank accounts including USD and EUR accounts

o Dealing with relevant HMRC returns, VAT, PPT etc

o Processing supplier payments through the use of trade loans.

  • Implementing slicker processes and controls to the current systems across the accounts function of the group.
  • Assist in producing management information across the group to play a part in key business decisions.
  • Assist with the annual statutory audit and stocktake for the entire group
  • Other ad hoc accounts duties as requested.

Key skills and experience requirements:

  • At least 3 years experience of working in a finance function and excellent knowledge of double entry and bookkeeping
  • Have experience of working with Trade loans and Invoice Financing
  • Have experience in working with foreign currencies.
  • Will possess extremely good computer literacy skills. Experience of Microsoft Navision and Xero accounting software preferred but not essential if other accounting systems used.
  • Needs to be a fast learner, have excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Highly motivated, positive and eager to learn
  • Proactive and solution driven individual who uses initiative and thrives on having responsibility and ownership.
  • Organisation and prioritisation skills, with an exceptional eye for detail and ability to manage workloads efficiently while still meeting deadlines
  • Good communication skills with colleagues, customers and suppliers when required.
  • Good excel skills essential - at least up to up to Vlookup and Pivot table level.
