Client Accounts Assistant (Credit Control)
Location: Portsmouth
Salary: £22k - £24k DOE + Great company benefits and training
Hours: Mon-Fri 9am - 17.00pm (office based)

If so, I have a great opportunity to join my clients accounts team where you will be responsible for chasing outstanding service charges and rent arrears.
You will already have a background in accounts and ideally collections or credit control and have great communication and customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
- Run aged debt reports for leaseholders and checking outstanding service charges and ground rents.
- Run through the report, check the system QUBE, and eliminate leaseholders that are in dispute, on hold or paying via monthly standing order.
- Run credit control letters and send out.
- Apply notes onto the CRM system and indicating what stage the client is at within the credit control proceedings.
- Review and calculate all accounts/leaseholders with a standing order agreement.
- Liaise with clients to ensure the maintenance of the agreement via phone, email and correspondence.
- Apply full credit control proceeding to clients failing to adhere to their payment agreement.
- Arrange payments for the section 20 or major works charged in collaboration with the property manager.
- Apply for court judgements where necessary and small claims court online.
- Produce arrears reports and inform the correct property manager.
- Deal with payment/service charge enquiries via email and phone.
The right candidate will have the following skills and experience to apply:
- Proven background in accounts, ideally credit control or collections.
- Great organisation and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise your own workload effectively and meet strict deadlines.
- Great telephone manner with the ability to build strong business relationships.
- Great IT skills inclusive of Word, Excel and using in-house databases.
- Proactive and enjoy working in a busy team environment.
