Sigma PlantFinder UK are industry leaders with over 45 years of experience specialising in the piling industry with a primary focus on relationships. We now have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Business Development Manager to join their flagship site in Middlesbrough, UK.

Competitive Salary from £38,500 per annum (DOE)

Your New role

Reporting directly to the Head of Business development, you will play a crucial role in expanding our business by identifyingnew salesopportunities, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and ensuring a seamless sales process. Your main focus will be on driving revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives and exceptional customer service.

Business Development and Sales Strategy:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to identify and secure new business opportunities.
  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  • Identify target markets and create comprehensive sales strategies to penetrate these markets.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing customized solutions.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with clients to ensure satisfaction and identifyadditional sales opportunities.
  • Manage key accounts and act as the main point of contact for major clients.

Sales Process Management:

  • Generate leads through various channels, including networking, cold calling, and industry events.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status in the CRM system.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product development, and customer service) to ensure alignment and support for business development initiatives.
  • Provide feedback from clients to help improve products and services.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and sales performance metrics.
  • Prepare regular reports for management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.

What you will need to succeed

You must have 10 years + experience in business development, sales or a similartype of role and B2B experience is essential.

Experience in the relevant industry is advantageous.

This role will require travel to meet with clients and attend industry events.

Flexibility to work outside standard business hours when necessary.
