PE Teacher
We are working with a mainstream secondary school in Sutton who are looking for a PE Teacher to join their team from September 2024. The school require a PE Teacher with experience who can teach KS3, KS4 and KS5. The school are interested in meeting teachers over the next few weeks.
The school has over 1000 students and was most recently rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted. They are passionate about finding the right staff for their school and supporting their professional development.
Responsibilities:
- To plan and deliver PE lessons based on the national curriculum ensuring the schools teaching and learning policies are followed.
- To monitor student progress and adapt lessons according the ability.
- To contribute to whole school student attainment.
- To implement the schools' behaviour and safeguarding policies when necessary.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Have QTS (or equivalent) with a related undergraduate degree.
- Experience teaching secondary age students.
- Adaptability and flexibility.
- Willingness to learn and support with extra curricular activities.
- Be able to work well within a team and have positive relationships with all staff.
- Proficient IT skills, ideally experience using interactive whiteboards.
- Be proactive, have good time management and organisational skills.
- Be able to motivate students and create a positive learning environment and confidently manage behaviour within the classroom.
