We are currently seeking an experienced Assembly Operative to join our client's dynamic team. Our client is a leading manufacturing company in the [Location] area, known for their high-quality products and commitment to innovation. This is an exciting opportunity to become a part of their production department and contribute to their ongoing success.

Hours of Work: -The standard hours of work are 37 hours per week, but you can work overtime.

We have two rotational shift patterns: early and late.

  • The early shift starts at 6:00 am and ends at 2:00 pm from Monday to Thursday, and at 6:00 am to 1:30 pm on Friday.
  • The late shift starts at 2:00 pm and ends at 10:00 pm from Monday to Thursday, and at 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday.

We also offer competitive pay rates, which may vary depending on the lane and role.

  • before 12 weeks, the rate is £11.44,
  • after 12 weeks it's £11.98,
  • and once competency is achieved, the rate is £12.52.
  • additionally, if you accept a shifted role, you will receive a shift premium on top of the above rates.
  • the AM shift offers 7 hours at the basic rate and the PM shift offers 9 hours at the basic rate.

As an Assembly Operative, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process. Your main responsibility will be to assemble components and products using various tools and techniques. Attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to follow instructions are key skills required for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and understand work instructions, technical drawings, and diagrams.
  • Gather all necessary parts and equipment needed for the assembly process.
  • Assemble components and products according to specifications, maintaining quality standards.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure all products meet the required standards.
  • Operate and maintain tools and equipment used in the assembly process.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
  • Report any issues or defects to the supervisor or quality control team.
