Management Accountant
Hertford
Up to £60,000 per annum
Role Overview:
The Management Accountant will play a key role within our finance team, reporting directly to the Financial Controller.
Key responsibilities:
- Preparing accurate and timely financial information
- Balance sheet reconciliations, and stock and cost of sales accounting. A
- Support and improve the quality and efficiency of financial reporting by developing processes to bring information directly from the system
- Managing a team of 2 Assistant Accountant's
- Ensure charges, Amex fees, bounced checks, SL claims are journal on monthly basis
- Reconciling Bank - includes Cash and all postings
- Reconcile Petty cash and create Journals to post
- Update the rebate model on monthly basis
- Prepare Accrual based on the model - ensure risk is mitigated
- Upload payments on to the system
- Prepare and send weekly cashflow forecast to senior members
- Download monthly statements and pass to relevant individuals
Qualifications:
- Fully Qualified ACCA / ACA / CIMA
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a Management Accountant or a similar senior financial management role.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in ERP system and advanced MS Excel skills.
