We are looking for a Rehabilitation Support Companion for our 96-year-old female client with Dementia. Along with a salary of £14.00 per hour, you will also receive generous mileage rates, additional holiday accrued with service, a pension scheme, health cover and employee rewards.
What you'll do as Rehabilitation Support Companion?
Your duties will include supporting our client to access the community, including supporting to attend appointments, maintaining and completing household duties, and assistance with personal care.
Our client is eager to have some companionship beyond her family, so you will support our client to access the community and have a gentle and patient approach to assisting them with daily living activities, as well as assistance with personal care. Our client loves going out for lunch and telling her stories, so you need to be a good listener and prepared for having your ears talked off! If you have experience of working with clients with Dementia, love a good chat and cuppa, then this role is perfect for you.
We're looking for a Rehabilitation Support Companion with:
- Previous experience of working in a support worker role.
- Driving licence and car owner is essential.
- Trained to NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or have equivalent experience e.g. completed year 1/level 4 of a recognised health profession degree course)
This is a part-time role, working 16 hours per week over days/afternoons/some weekends.
