Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Advisor with a background in groundworks, hard landscaping, and drainage. The ideal candidate will be proactive in promoting a positive health and safety culture and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Health and Safety Management: Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures.
- Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Risk Assessments: Perform risk assessments and identify potential hazards on site.
- Training: Provide health and safety training to employees and subcontractors.
- Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and recommend corrective actions.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and company policies.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of health and safety activities, incidents, and training.
- Advisory Role: Advise management on health and safety issues and improvements.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Health and Safety Advisor in the groundworks, construction, hard landscaping, and drainage sectors.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills.
