Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Field Service Generator Engineer covering the Essex and Berkshire area on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will provide onsite customer support to a range of generator machinery within the region, with a primary focus on keeping the machinery in peak operating condition through scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Working in both a workshop and site environment
- Electrical and mechanical repairs and duties
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding
- Repairing and servicing generators
- Investigating, diagnosing and resolving customer reports of technical problems
- Providing excellent customer service
- Ensuring compliance with relevant procedures while inspecting and repairing equipment
Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications:
- Solid mechanical aptitude
- Minimum 5 years generator experience
- Knowledge of engines, alternators, control panels and wiring diagrams
- Diagnostic and leadership skills able to work in a team or alone
- Driving License
- Excellent verbal, written and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Interpersonal relationships/ Customer awareness/ Commercial awareness
Working hours are Monday - Friday 40 hours weekly with overtime available.
In return our client offers a salary between £15.00 - £18.50 per hour, with overtime paid at time and a half.
