We are seeking an experienced Test Manager to work within our Operating Systems Team to ensure the quality of our IT deliveries.

About the role
As a Test Manager, you will help improve the testing strategy, overseeing test planning and execution, and managing a team of testers both internal and external.
You will work with cross-functional teams to helping develop test plans and implement best practices to provide high-quality software solutions for our Operating Systems Team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans, strategies, and methodologies to ensure the quality of software products.
- Manage a team of testers, providing guidance, and support to improve performance and achieve testing goals.
- Collaborate with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define testing requirements, scope, and timelines.
- Coordinate and prioritise testing activities, allocate resources, and manage test schedules to meet project deadlines.
- Conduct risk assessments, identify potential issues, and develop mitigation strategies to minimise project risks.
- Define and maintain testing standards, processes, and documentation to ensure consistency and efficiency across projects.
- Monitor and report on test results, quality metrics, and project status to stakeholders, highlighting any deviations or issues.
- Evaluate and improve testing tools, and techniques to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.
What you'll need to have
- Experience software testing and quality assurance, with a focus on test planning, execution, and management.
- Understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices, including Agile, Scrum and Waterfall.
- Experience with test automation frameworks, tools, and scripting languages (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, Python).
- Proficiency in test management tools (e.g. ALM, Jira, TestRail) and version control systems (e.g. Git).
- Certification in software testing (e.g. ISTQB).
