My client has a fantastic opportunity for a Semi Senior Accountant to join their office Leeds, West Yorkshire offices.
My client is a well know multi-disciplined professional services company which includes Chartered Accountants, Tax Advisers, Financial planners and legal professionals.
Job Purpose:
The role will specifically involve the preparation of accounts and tax returns for small to medium sized businesses and their owners.
- Preparation of financial statements for small and medium sized limited companies, sole traders and partnerships- Corporation tax calculations and submissions- Preparation of management accounts & VAT returns- Self Assessment tax returns- Potential to attend client meetings and interact with directors and business owners- Assist with training of apprentices- Company Secretarial Duties (desirable)- Preparation of P11ds (desirable)- Payroll experience (desirable)- Any other general accountancy/administrative work as required We would expect candidates to have good knowledge and experience of cloud based book-keeping packages such as QuickBooks and Xero.Skills and Experience:
- At least 3 years' experience in an accountancy practice- Experience of Sage 50, Xero, Quickbooks, Iris, Sage Business Cloud an advantage- Strong Attention to Detail- Excellent Time Management Skills- Exceptional Communication Skills with a good telephone manner- Good written and technical Skills- Strong Prioritisation and Organisation Skills- Ability to Handle Confidential Information- Strong Record Keeping Skills
Qualifications:
- Must be at least studying towards AAT/ACA/ACCA.
