A highly successful healthcare services business, is seeking an experienced

Part-Time

Senior Payroll Administrator to join their team in the Worthing area, to work in the office for

around 25 hours a week

  • This family owned business is determined to provide high quality services, rooted in their core values of respect and integrity, and at present manage a number of sites across the region, and currently provide round the clock services to its varied service user base.

The position holder will be reporting into the Head of Finance and will be managing the day-to-day execution of the payroll function, ensuring that is administered correctly, within expected compliance and on time.

Your Role & Responsibilities:

While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing the payroll for the company to ensure that every member of staff is paid on time and accurately on a monthly basis
  • Producing payroll reports and commentary for the Directors on a monthly basis
  • Handling any changes linked to absences, shift patterns, changes in contracts and timesheets, working alongside the admin team to ensure these alterations are pulled through
  • Maintaining HMRC records and administering the NEST pension scheme across the business
  • Processing the payroll journals within the accounting systems and conducting control account reconciliations both on a monthly basis
  • Ensuring payroll compliance across the business
  • Supporting on annual audit requirements alongside the Head of Finance
  • Acting as a key point of contact and subject matter expert for all things related to payroll, the system (Dayforce) and handling any payroll related queries

What you will need to Apply:

For this position, applicants will need to have extensive experience within the payroll function, preferably gained within a multi-site business. Applicants will also need to have a payroll qualification - CIPP or something equivalent to this, as well as excellent knowledge of payroll legislation. Strong organisational and communication abilities will be required to succeed in this role, as well as a solid computer literacy and an aptitude for learning systems and using Microsoft Office.

What you will get in Return:

A base salary up to £40,000 FTE is on offer (suggested to be around £25k for the hours required), with additional benefits including a strong holiday allowance (pro-rata for hours worked), pension contribution and range of other monetary and practical rewards and incentives, including an employee assistance programme and various schemes.
