Fees Clerk

Our client, a well-respected barristers' chambers based near Chancery Lane is looking for an experienced Fees Clerk. This position will work closely with the Finance team to ensure the prompt collection of members debt.

As a Fees Clerk your core duties will include:

  • Ensuring invoices, fee notes, reminders, receipts are issued and sent to instructing solicitors in a timely manner
  • Pro-actively chasing outstanding fees owed to Counsel
  • Preparing aged debts reports for members
  • Reconciling bank accounts
  • Allocating cash and investigating unallocated cash
  • Maintaining accurate records on Sage Line 50 and LEX
  • Liaising with Barristers, Solicitors and external parties
  • Management of the Fees email inbox and resolving all queries efficiently
  • Assisting the finance team with month-end duties

To be considered for this position you will have:

  • Experience in the above duties and be proficient using LEX
  • A calm, patient and flexible attitude, and the ability to work independently
