We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our supportive team. This role is ideal for someone with a caring nature, drive, and vision, who is eager to make a positive impact on pupils with special educational needs. Our small class sizes and Teaching Assistant support create an environment conducive to personalised education.

Day to day of the role:

  • Teach a small range of subjects to KS2, KS3, and KS4 students, with subjects to be discussed and agreed upon during the interview process.
  • Adapt teaching methods to cater to a variety of ages and abilities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to overcome barriers to learning and help pupils achieve their targets.
  • Create a safe and positive learning environment, managing behaviour effectively.
  • Maintain high expectations for all students, striving to raise attainment levels.
  • Utilise IT skills for lesson planning and administration, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Communicate confidently with staff and pupils, fostering a collaborative atmosphere.
  • Uphold rigorous safeguarding practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree in Teaching.
  • Experience and knowledge of the full curriculum, with the ability to deliver in more than one area.
  • Understanding and experience of working with young people with SEMH difficulties.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • Understanding of Safeguarding practices.
  • Willingness to undertake de-escalation and restraint training if not already trained.
