Trainee IT Helpdesk Assistant

Join a small but growing IT company as a Trainee IT Helpdesk Assistant. Our aim is to find someone who is keen to learn so we can assist them in taking their first steps into a career in IT.

THE TRAINEE IT HELPDESK ASSISTANT ROLE:

  • To be the first point of contact for staff seeking IT support over the telephone and email.
  • Logging all IT support requests, documenting actions taken and escalating internally or external were appropriate.
  • To liaise with third party software/hardware companies to resolve incidents and service requests, progressing through to closure.
  • Provide on-site support attending office floors when required.
  • Assist with project related tasks.
  • Achieve the training and assessment requirements of the apprenticeship programme.

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Driving licence & own car (preferable)
  • Highly motivated team player
  • Have an interest in self-development and career progression
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Be well organised and have the ability to prioritise workloads
  • Logical approach to problem solving
  • Genuine interest in IT and developing communication technologies
  • Ideally lives in Bracknell or within a reasonable commute.

SALARY & BENEFITS YOU'LL RECEIVE AS TRAINEE IT HELPDESK ASSISTANT:

  • £19,000 - £22,000, depending on experience
  • 20 days holiday + public holidays
