An established accountancy provider based in Haywards Heath is expanding and is seeking a diligent and driven individual to join their team. Benefit from a flexible working arrangement (ranging from 20 to 37.5 hours per week) within a positive and encouraging workplace.
�? Main Duties:
- Inputting financial transactions accurately using systems such as Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent, and Dext
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns for approval, ensuring adherence to current legislation
- Supporting the preparation of financial statements up to the trial balance stage
- Managing accruals, prepayments, and calculating fixed asset depreciation
- Compiling management accounts and performance summaries on a monthly or quarterly basis
- Providing bookkeeping support for sole proprietors and small business clients
? Ideal Candidate:
- Proven background in bookkeeping and handling VAT processes, preferably from within an accountancy firm
- Confident in using Xero (knowledge of FreeAgent and QuickBooks is a plus)
- High level of accuracy and the ability to oversee multiple client portfolios
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive approach

- ?? Salary Range: £30,000 - £37,000 annually (adjusted for part-time hours)
