They are seeking a Tree Surgeon to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of arboriculture practices and a strong commitment to safety and professionalism. As a Tree Surgeon, you will be responsible for the maintenance, pruning, and removal of trees, as well as diagnosing and treating tree diseases and pests. This position offers the opportunity to work outdoors and make a positive impact on the environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct tree assessments to identify health issues, structural weaknesses, and potential hazards.
- Perform pruning, trimming, and shaping of trees to promote growth and enhance aesthetics.
- Safely operate and maintain chainsaws, wood chippers, and other specialised equipment.
- Execute tree removals using safe rigging techniques and proper safety protocols.
- Apply pesticides, fertilizers, and other treatments to address tree diseases and pests.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and communicate findings to clients as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Landscaper or Arborist, with a minimum of 3 years in the field.
- Certification from a recognised arboricultural organisation (e.g., NPTC Certified) is preferred.
- Proficiency in tree climbing and aerial rescue techniques.
- Strong knowledge of tree biology, pruning principles, and safety standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
