Interim Head of Compliance (MLRO, EMI/ PI) - to £140 000.
Award winning payments company, is looking to recruit an experienced compliance leader to join the senior team. 6 month contract.
The Interim Head of Compliance is responsible for the compliance function for the company. Managing an expert team of financial crime and compliance professionals. Reporting to the CEO. Operating at Board Level.
This is a hybrid (2 days in the office), 6 month contract post.
MLRO & AML experience is essential.
You will develop the compliance, AML and other regulatory training requirements of the business. Liaising with regulators. Developing and maintaining the firm's money laundering risk profile, in accordance with changing regulations.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience as MLRO/Head of Compliance in an EMI/PI.
- Exceptional understanding of the MLR's 2017 and JMLSG requirements of EMI's.
- Sound understanding of Fraud typologies and transaction monitoring solutions.
- Good understanding of the EMD 2011, PSR's 2017 and FCA Handbook.
- (FSMA 2000 and MiFiD II) knowledge.
- Experience of external audit requirements.
- Skilled at managing Compliance Frameworks - EMD and FSMA.
- Previous responsibility for the development & implementation of an effective AML framework.
- Exposure to the management of financial crime teams and DMLRO.
- Risk Management and effective risk assessments experience.
- Solid experience in conducting Internal Audits.
- Briefing and reporting to Boards experience.
- SMF16 compliance oversight and SMF17 MLRO experience.
