HR Project Manager

HR Project Manager – 6 month contract, ASAP start working for a fantastic and well-known energy business.

Between £500 - £600 per day, inside IR35.

One day per week in the office either London, Durham, Edinburgh or Cardiff. The rest working from home.

Job Purpose:

Provide Project Management to some of the most significant business change projects, ensuring that they come in to time, quality and cost.

Within the CPO portfolio the purpose will be to ensure the delivery of the 2024 People Plan managing a suite of delivery across a multitude of workstreams – Diversity Equity Inclusion, Internal Comms, Learning and Development, Leadership and Health Safety and Environment.

The role is to support, guide and execute on the planned delivery, report and manage the delivery with a flexible Project Management style enabling agility, flexibility and rigorous delivery.

Key Accountabilities:

Project Management

  • Providing effective management to project teams on projects assigned to you
  • Co-ordination of, publication, review and sign-off of major Project Management deliverables.
  • Ensuring project plans are created and maintained, deliverables tracked against time and cost, and resource utilisation is monitored.
  • Monitoring and reporting on progress of assigned project to the senior stakeholders.
  • Co-ordinating project activities to meet quality objectives. Managing project risks, issues and change control, communicating the impact to the project.
  • Monitoring projects against time, budget and quality standards.

Reporting

  • Providing complete and accurate Management Information to the Business Change Portfolio Manager, Senior Management and Senior Exec Team as appropriate to bring to attention areas for management focus in advance of / avoiding escalations.
  • Responsible for preparation of consolidated material from project reports for monthly reviews,
  • Clear understanding of project budgeting and baselining.

Person Specification:

  • Experience of working on People / HR change projects with the ability to manage complex projects across a multi-directorate organisation
  • Change management & business transformation experience
  • Demonstrable hands-on experience of HR project management, or similar role
  • Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment practise to support a significant ‘breakthrough project' focused on Organisational design success, ISO audit compliance, CDM corrective actions and creating commonality in approach
  • Working with diverse sets of stakeholders to agree solutions that meet a range of business demands
  • Experience of working with multi-location teams
  • Understanding of various project management frameworks and methodologies

Functional / Technical Skills:

  • Desirable to have formal Project Management Qualifications (e.g. PMP, APM, Prince C)
  • Confidence to engage key stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to collate and interpret data, producing meaningful and accurate reports; strong attention to detail
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office suite to a high standard, including Excel, Project, Visio, PowerPoint
  • Ability to operate and communicate within a matrix team
