Reed Education Southampton are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to fulfil a full time, permanent position within a local primary school in Winchester.
The school is a small primary school located within the lovely area of Winchester, known for its welcoming environment, where children feel safe and nurtured. The classrooms include elements to enhance the teaching and learning of the children within, providing them with opportunities to develop both academically and practically using a variety of teaching methods. The staff at the school are all passionate about education, and ensure to provide personalised delivery of learning to foster to each child's growth and development.
As the Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for the assistance of both pupils and the class teacher. You will aid the class teacher with preparation of lessons and setting up equipment, as well as helping to ensure that pupils are on task with their work. You will provide support for the students individually or in small groups to help with their learning, assisting with assignments and improving their academic performance. You will contribute to creating a positive learning environment and often help with displays and classroom organisation.
The salary for this role is currently set at £12.82 to £14 per hour depending on experience.
For this role, you will be/will need:
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with children is desired
- Passion for working with children and keen to help where needed
- Right to work in the UK
