An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Credit Controller to join my client's dynamic finance team. This role offers the chance to utilise your experience in accounts receivable, billing or credit and collections within a supportive and collaborative environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining customer credit application documentation, creating payment procedures, responding to client queries, and providing administrative support to the finance team. With a competitive salary of £35,000 - £38,000 and based in the vibrant location of South West London, this 6 month FTC position is an excellent opportunity to further develop your skills and career.

What you'll do:

As a Credit Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining all aspects of credit control and sales ledger. Your excellent organisational skills will be utilised in maintaining customer credit application documentation and related accounting records. You will create payment procedures that ensure timely payments while also responding to client queries with professionalism. Providing administrative support to the finance team will be part of your daily responsibilities. Your keen eye for detail will be essential in keeping a close watch on debtor account balances and reducing debtors' 'Days Sales Outstanding'. Ensuring the team adheres to credit and collection procedures will fall under your remit. Furthermore, your excellent communication skills will be vital in liaising with both internal and external customers regarding credit, collections, and audits.

  • Maintain all customer credit application documentation and related accounting records
  • Create and uphold payment procedures and policies that ensure timely payment
  • Respond promptly and professionally to client queries
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team
  • Monitor debtor account balances closely
  • Reduce debtors' 'Days Sales Outstanding'
  • Ensure adherence to credit and collection procedures within the team
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers regarding credit, collections, and audit

What you bring:

As our ideal Credit Controller candidate, you bring substantial experience from an accounts receivable/billing or credit collection role. Your confidence with all aspects of credit control and sales ledger will be key to your success in this role. Your ability to organise and maintain customer credit application documentation and related accounting records will be highly valued. Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle, will be a significant advantage. Your excellent interpersonal skills, tenacity, and superior communication skills will enable you to excel in this role. Good negotiation skills, the ability to clearly explain financial matters, business acumen, high attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and good analytical skills are all crucial for this role.

  • Experience within an accounts receivable/billing or credit and collection role is essential
  • Exprience working Amazon portal and EDI (essential)
  • Confidence in handling all aspects of credit control and sales ledger is required
  • Ability to organise and maintain all customer credit application documentation and related accounting records is necessary
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle is desirable
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are crucial for this role
