Exciting opportunity for an Outsourcing Manager to join a leading firm based in the Business Advisory Department. Colchester or Ipswich office. ? The role
- Lead a diverse team of Outsourcing analysts and Seniors across our Colchester and Ipswich offices with Partner Support inspiring, motivating and coaching the team to be the best they can be.
- Leading on the conversion of new business opportunities and delivering proposals to prospects through building internal relationships and external networking.
- Able to demonstrate that they have an extensive pragmatic working knowledge of bookkeeping.
- Able to confidently use software such as Xero, Sage, Dext, Quickbooks, ApprovalMax and Go Proposal as well as training others in the team to use them in an efficient way.
- Reviewing bookkeeping, management accounts and VAT Returns completed by team members.
- Managing the workflow of the Bookkeeping team. Reviewing weekly work plans & ensuring the team is working towards deadlines throughout the week, as well as ensuring that quality standards are maintained
- Review weekly timesheets completed by the team ensuring that time posted to clients and non-chargeable assignments are consistent.
- Working with clients to agree timelines of when bookkeeping and VAT returns need submitting.
- Being the main point of contact for clients for Bookkeeping work.
- Occasional visits to client offices to set up and maintain bookkeeping records and quarterly VAT returns.
- Embrace technological change in the accounting space and ensure these are embedded in our portfolio of client solutions.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients.

- AAT, ACCA or ACA qualified or qualified by experience.
- Experience working within accountancy practice (desirable).
- Highly organised, with previous bookkeeping and people management skills.
- Strong IT skills and experience working with different accountancy systems (such as Xero, Sage, Dext, ApprovalMax, Go Proposal & Quickbooks).
- Self-motivated and able to work on their own initiative as well as being a Team player
