As the business expand their operations, they are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Legal Counsel to join the team.

Job Description:

As a Construction Legal Counsel, you will play a critical role in providing legal support and guidance on all non-contentious construction related matters. You will work closely with the project management, and engineering teams to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Your expertise will help navigate complex construction contracts, mitigate risks, and support the successful execution of their energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review and negotiate construction contracts, subcontracts, and related agreements.
  • Provide legal advice on construction law, construction law, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with external firms and consultants as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and organisational policies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of legal strategies to support project goals.

Qualifications:

  • 1 year + PQE experience.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts including NEC, FIDIC and other standard forms.
  • Excellent negotiation, drafting and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
