A vacancy has arisen within the Property Repairs Team for a Housing Maintenance and Voids surveyor.

Applicants will ideally have practical experience in housing maintenance and voids along with a relevant qualification, however those qualified by experience will also be considered.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a variety of skills to proactively work within our busy service area. The position is office based, due to service needs. If you've got the passion to work with customers and colleagues to deliver a quality service to be proud of, we'd love to hear from you.

The successful candidate will be able to deliver effective day-to-day maintenance, repair and improvement services whilst maintaining excellent communication with colleagues and customers.

Duties include

  • Inspection of habited and void properties
  • Inspection of properties for mutual exchanges and incentive moves
  • Investigation of complaints and disrepair claims
  • Diagnosing defects
  • Providing detailed specification of works for repairs operatives and subcontractors
  • Pre and post inspections
  • Preparing specifications to allow contractors to tender for works
