Project Sales Manager

We are recruiting a Project Sales Manager to join a very reputable, well established SME based in Billingham. As a Project Sales Manager you will spearhead our efforts in the contractors and trade market. This hunter-like role is crucial for exponentially growing product profit from the trade channel within your territory. You will proactively manage the opportunity pipeline, ensure consistent achievement of KPIs, and become the go-to trusted advisor for accessible washroom products for contractors and contract merchants.-

This is an office based role will occasional travel to clients premises

Key Responsibilities

Overall:

  • Collaborate with the Key Accounts Manager and Business Development Director to develop strategies to achieve budget targets in your territory.
  • Proactively target contractors
  • Conduct joint meetings with the Key Accounts Manager to engage key decision-makers.
  • Work with internal account managers and marketing to ensure the strategy is understood by contract merchants.
  • Maintain an up-to-date opportunity pipeline.
  • Generate leads for the specification team by engaging with clients and architects.
  • Support and utilise the project registration system to guide projects through preferred merchants.
  • Provide updates on key opportunities at weekly sales meetings.

Contractors:

  • Engage with relevant contractors
  • Use Glenigan for prospecting new opportunities.
  • Build relationships with the top 100 UK contractors in your territory.
  • Conduct telemarketing and organise introductory, awareness, and training meetings.
  • Coordinate proposal preparation for specified and break spec opportunities.
  • Conduct regular account management and pipeline review calls.

Contract Merchant Branches:

  • Engage with contract merchant branches to ensure
  • Collaborate with the Key Accounts Manager to obtain relevant contact details from buying groups and nationals.
  • Conduct telemarketing and work with regional BD managers to amplify sales and marketing efforts.
  • Organise market, legislation, and product training sessions.
  • Coordinate and follow up on quotes and proposals within 24 hours.
  • Conduct monthly account management and quarterly pipeline review meetings.
